Project description: POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED 765/400/220kV grid substations at Bhadla-2 near complex being developed in Bhadla village on National Highway 11 in Kansingh Ki Seer, in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan, India. Group housing project for employ of power grid of Bhadla 2 and Bhadla 1.
Our proposed design solution for this government housing scheme builds upon the strategic urban design framework established by PGCIL 765/400/220kV grid substations masterplan and seeks to achieve a rich and varied urban form which will lead to the development of distinctive and identifiable neighbourhoods.
We sought to maximise the potential for modern, prefabricated construction techniques to be employed across the development for improved and consistent quality. The design ethos references the coast and the desert as the two distinct architectural themes and uses them to create character and establish distinctive and identifiable neighbourhoods. The scheme also draws inspiration from the landscape, architecture, and urban fabric of the region of Jodhpur Rajasthan.
